Buyer's guide

Five questions to ask any industrial AI vendor.

Every vendor now says AI. These questions separate a system that can run a live unit from one that writes recommendations.

Ask every vendor the same five questions.

Each question is one a buyer can check, and each comes with Imubit's answer.

  1. Is it running in closed loop in production today, and on how many units?

    Why it matters

Recommendations still need a person to make every move, so the gains depend on who is on shift.

    Imubit’s answer

Imubit is the only commercial solution applying closed-loop reinforcement learning at scale in a production environment, with over 100 closed-loop controllers deployed worldwide and 7+ years of closed-loop engagement in production.

    Where the controllers run
  2. Under the same conditions, does it give the same move every time?

    Why it matters

A running unit needs a certain answer, and an operator has to be able to trust and check it.

    Imubit’s answer

Yes. Imubit is deterministic, and closed loop never runs through a language model. Your assistants can ask its models questions.

  3. Is the model built from this unit's own data, and can our engineers see why it moved?

    Why it matters

A general-purpose agent that was safe elsewhere is not, by that fact, safe on your unit. Nadav Cohen's group at Tel Aviv University proved that safe execution of a task does not transfer the way execution does.

    Imubit’s answer

Each model is built for one unit from that unit's history, guided by first principles, with every learned relationship visible. Your engineers build and own the models with DLPC® Builder.

  4. Does it work with the control layers we already have, inside limits our engineers set, and can operators take over?

    Why it matters

Replacing control layers that work is a risk no plant needs to take.

    Imubit’s answer

It runs on top of your APC where you have one, or directly on your DCS where you don't, and never replaces either. Closed loop always runs inside the envelope your engineers set, and your operators can take over at any time.

    How Control works
  5. What do you need from us to start, and how soon do we see something we can use?

    Why it matters

A long data-cleaning project before any result is how AI programs stall.

    Imubit’s answer

Send your historian data as it is. Your team prepares and uploads the data package in one to two hours, results arrive within a few working days of approval, and no workshops are needed.

Where to start

Find out what your gap to plan is costing you.

  • One to two hours for your team to prepare and upload the data package

  • Results within a few working days of approval

  • No workshops

Send your data as it is. Gaps, outages and noisy tags are normal, and our engineers screen and clean them in the platform. If anything limits a use case, we tell you.
