Imubit is looking for a top-notch Safety Engineer to promote a culture of safety as the company disrupts the massive process manufacturing industry with breakthrough machine learning technology.

You, a safety professional, who demonstrates a commitment to personal responsibility and value for safety. You are able to communicate safety concerns across the company. You use and promote safe behaviors based on training and lessons learned.

 


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work diligently to reduce and prevent safety near misses or incidents
  • Lead root cause analysis and investigation for incidents
  • Monitor, review and communicate leading and lagging indicator performance as well as execution of safety initiatives
  • In-person engagement with an emphasis on risk mitigation, execution of safe work and team building while seeking efficiency, automation and continuous improvement
  • Maintain a Safety Network database system
  • Own employee training activities and compliance with customer site access requirements
  • Participate in the development of global safety standards, programs, training courses, and work processes

 

 

Education

  • At least two years of college in Environmental, Safety or Health or undergraduate degree in an area related to Engineering, Safety or Industrial Processes.

 

Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in a safety role required
  • Must possess a working knowledge of common global energy, refining, chemical process safety policies, procedures, guidelines, and best practices
  • Experience supporting technical groups such as IT, Engineering, and Operations
  • Must have experience with ISNetworld and with Safety Council training requirements

 

Skills & Abilities

  • Good leadership skills, problem-solving skills, good interpersonal and communication skills, and passion for the job mission
  • Excellent Technical Writing and Presentation Skills required 
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • High attention to detail
